How to Cleanse

We provide you 6 bottles of juice a day plus 1 litre a day of Alkaline water as well as 1 herbal tea. Each juice type is designed to be taken at a certain part of the day. The drinking schedule below should be followed:

  1. Breakfast Juice
  2. Mid Morning Juice
  3. Lunch Juice
  4. Mid Afternoon Juice
  5. Happy Hour Juice (do not add liquor)
  6. Dinner
  7. Bedtime tea

The alkaline water should be drank throughout the day in combination with at least an additional litre of regular water.

We suggest varying the juices you choose for each day of the cleanse vary as much as possible, but it's ok to show preference to your favourites too.

The following products should be completely avoided immediately before, during, and immediately after the cleanse:

Alcohol
Nicotine
Caffeine – yes that means a break from your morning, lunch, and afternoon coffees.

Some words of caution are in order before you begin your Juice Cleanse. Children under seventeen should not follow a strict juice fast. If you are diabetic, pregnant, or have other chronic conditions, you should seek a doctor's approval before trying a juice cleanse.

HOW TO CLEANSE

Before Starting the Cleanse

Starting the fast properly will give you it the best chance of being most effective. From 3 days before, start reducing the following items in your diet:

  1. Meat products
  2. Dairy products
  3. Simple carbs – bread, pasta, rice
  4. Sugar
  5. Fish

1 Day before the cleanse, you diet should simply consist of:

  1. Raw vegetables and fruits,
  2. Vegetable broths and homemade vegetable soups,
  3. Steamed vegetables.

Drink Water

The days before you start the cleanse are also the time to begin hydrating yourself with up to 2 litres of water per day. It may sound like a lot of water, but it is the recommended daily amount of doctors for a normal day. Staying hydrated before and during the cleanse is essential to the detoxing process. That is why it is also essential to cut out substances the dehydrate the body the day before the cleanse, namely caffeine and alcohol.

During the Cleanse

Make the most of your cleanse by following these simple tips:

  1. We've said it before and we'll say it again, DRINK LOTS OF WATER. Staying hydrated is essential during a cleanse
  2. Make sure you get rest. During the cleanse you may feel like you get tired more easily. A cleanse is not the time to physically exert yourself and push yourself to the limits.

Dry Brushing

Dry brushing the body with a natural bristle bath brush or loofah mitt each day can be very beneficial during the cleansing process. The skin is an important organ in the detoxification as toxins are excreted through the skin. Dry brushing can greatly aid in this process. Brush in circular motions moving towards the heart and avoid any sensitive patches of skin, areas with skin conditions, and the face.
